This itinerary is built around a single event: the river crossing, when the migration's herds mass on the Serengeti's northern bank and, after hours of hesitation, commit to the crossing in their thousands while crocodiles wait in the current below.

Because the exact crossing point and date shift year to year with rainfall, we hold this itinerary flexible on timing and lean on our guiding crew's radio network across the park to position the group at the right stretch of river on the right morning.
