Multi-day canoeing along the Lower Zambezi, camping on river islands among elephant and hippo.
The Lower Zambezi is best explored from a canoe rather than a vehicle — a quieter, slower approach that puts you at water level with elephant herds crossing between islands and hippo pods that the guide reads and navigates around with practiced care.
This is a genuinely active, hands-on itinerary: paddling several hours a day, camping on river islands, and a guide briefing each evening on the next day's route and wildlife to expect.
Because it's a small-boat, small-group format by necessity, this trip caps at a lower guest number than most of our other itineraries.
